How to write a "Thank You" Note

When somebody gives you a present, comes to your birthday party or does something really nice for you like taking you to the movies, it is important to say "Thank You". Writing a little note on a card printed with one of your paintings is a lovely way to show your thanks and is easy to do.
What you will need:
- A nice piece of paper or one of your cards
- An envelope to put your thank you note in
- A stamp
What to write:
- Start your letter with "Dear" followed by the name of the person whom you are thanking and then a comma.
- On a new line say "Thank you for " and then what you are thanking them for. Some examples are:
- Thank you for coming to my Birthday Party.
- Thank you for the lovely swimsuit for my birthday.
- Next write a nice sentence about the event or present. Some examples are:
- I had a lovely time at my party and I am really glad that you could come.
- I love the colour blue of the swimsuit.
- Then finish your letter with a friendly message. On a new line write "Love,", or "Lots of Love,", or "From,", or "Tons of Hugs," (whichever you like but always put a comma after it) and then on another new line sign your name.
- Address your envelope and then pop your thank you note or card into the envelope. Click here to see instructions on how to address an envelope.
- Stick on a stamp and drop your note in the postbox.
